Network Controller

We are looking for a Network Controller reporting to our Control Centre Manager. This role is critical to ensuring safe access to, and operation of our network. If you have previous experience working in a network operations environment, we want to talk to you. You will work across the network controlling high and low voltage, sub-transmission and distribution equipment.
Our Network Controllers use an industry leading Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) to monitor and control the network. **The role**:
- Monitor and control network operations including field alarms, fault work and public outages
- Prepare, check and direct Operating Orders in response to requests to enable work to be undertaken safely on our network
- Monitor and manage our load control systems
- Ensure the status of our network is continually updated within our network management system
- This is a day shift-based role with options to cover shift work and transition to a full shift work roster as opportunities arise
**About you**:
- At least level 5 NZQA qualification with a working knowledge of HV electricity network
- Competent in the operation of HV electrical distribution or transmission systems in a Control Centre environment
- Proven working knowledge of SCADA within a complex and busy environment
- Strong and transparent communication, interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- A willingness and desire to grow your current knowledge
- A great sense of humour and a positive outlook and approach to your work
