**Ngā Aramahi me te Hoahoa Haumi**: Careers & Investment Design Directorate
Ngā Aramahi me te Hoahoa Haumi Directorate (CIDD) is responsible for developing strategies, initiatives and policies that enable the organisation to effectively and efficiently meet its goals in the areas of careers and investment.
All teams in the directorate are focused on work that develops, leads or contributes to the design of these strategies, initiatives and policies. They are responsible for developing the interventions and plans off those strategies, and then marketing and communicating the integrated view of what TEC wants to achieve. The basis of our work is the horizontal work model and so the CIDD teams work in partnership with teams from other directorates so the design and commissioning of new products and initiatives is a collaborative process that ensures successful implementation and delivery.

**He angitūtanga**: About the Role
As a Senior Advisor you will work closely with others, both contributing to and leading work. You will be involved in design and advice relating to the implementation of policy and strategies. Your work will be varied, ranging from providing advice to policy agencies, to developing technical guidelines and using effective communication tactics to manage change.
Specifically you will use your skills and experience in the following areas:

- Operational Policy Design: Design how policy and strategy will work in practice; develop principles and determine tactics, create assessment frameworks, and design forms.
- Operational Policy Advice: Critically assess policy proposals to provide implementation advice to policy agencies and provide advice on the interpretation of policy for our delivery teams and the tertiary and careers sectors.
- Project Delivery: Plan and scope work, meet deadlines, contribute to/lead project teams, and identify risks and issues
- Communication: Seek decisions and keep everyone in the loop from day to day correspondence to drafting memos, guidelines, website content, and presentations.

- Strong writing capability: You have a skill for making the complex simple and are able to draft content across a range of mediums from formal papers to query responses
- Relationship skills: Service matters - you are positive and politically savvy, collaborative by nature, and comfortable negotiating and influencing across all levels.

The salary range for this position starts from $85,499 up to $100,857+ depending on demonstrable skills and experience
