What will you do?

You’ll be joining a multidisciplinary team of computational designers, 3D modellers, visualization artists and software developers and working together to change the way we design and deliver engineering projects.

Computational Designers are integral to the continued growth of digital at Aurecon as we pursue industry-leading, model-first ways of working to support innovation and excellence in advisory, design, and delivery.

Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.Developing and delivering computational design solutions to support project workflows-
- Prototyping solutions to design and analysis problems-
- Supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams to transform project delivery-
- Facilitate the growth of the computational design network through technical leadership, mentorship, and trainingWe are looking for people to join our team within Aurecon’s Project Services Hub, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse project across different industries, with a particular focus on projects in our Transport, Land and Water markets. You will have the opportunity to work on city-shaping infrastructure projects alongside our local teams.

What can you bring to the team?

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imaging engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future.

You will bring with you a solid understanding of computational design tools (we primarily use Grasshopper and Dynamo) and ideally an understanding of programming fundamentals required to extend and customise these tools using Python or C#.

For a Computational Design role, we are looking for someone with:
- Professional experience in the AEC industry-
- A university background in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science or similar-
- 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience-
- Thorough knowledge of Grasshopper/Rhino is required-
- Experience with Dynamo, Revit, Civil3d, C# or Python is a benefit-
- Experience with internal stakeholder management and project workYou’ll come into the business with a willingness to learn new things, to use your unique perspective to challenge the status quo, and to work with people from all walks of life to help shape the way we approach engineering in the years to come.
