**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping and driving national level Health & Safety Risk Management System and Framework requirements, including any associated software required to manage Critical Risks to the Health and Safety of workers across Te Whatu Ora.
The role includes driving the development and implementation of national health and safety policies and procedures, including oversight of all health and safety risk related documents, while collaborating with diverse stakeholders and fostering interdepartmental cooperation to ensure seamless execution of Health and Safety Critical Risk requirements and alignment to the overarching objectives of Te Whatu Ora.
The role is directly responsible for leading the engagement with workers across all levels of Te Whatu Ora to confirm the organisation's Health & Safety Risks and will undertake risk analysis, identify critical controls, develop, and implement Critical Control Management Plans (CCMP), assess critical control effectiveness, and develop and implement a Critical Control effectiveness monitoring and verification processes.

- Demonstrated senior experience leading national Health and Safety risks.
- Programme and/or project management in a large organisation.
- Reporting on programme and/or project progress against objectives, outcomes, and outputs.
- Experience in developing and implementing a Health & Safety Risk Management Framework (focused on Critical Risk) in a large organisation.
- Experience in managing Health & Safety risks in a large organisation.
- Previous responsibility at a leadership level for developing, maintaining, and influencing mutually beneficial relationships and partnerships.
- Developing and implementing Critical Control Management Plans.
- Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on Critical Control effectiveness.
