Our client is seeking experienced regulatory professionals to join the building policy team, as a Senior Policy Advisor.

You'll be an inspirational and dedicated team member and will become an integral part of this collaborative team culture, helping to shape the regulatory processes of the building industry.

**About the role**
- Collaborative working environment across multiple regulatory systems
- Assist with production of documents that ensure compliance of the building code
- Utilise your stakeholder relationship expertise to liaise with external stakeholders such as engineers, architects, master builders/plumbers, and building specialists
- Contribute to developing a strategic view of the policy agenda
- Enhance the overall capability of the team through coaching and mentoring team members

**Skills & Experience**
- Good understanding of regulatory process and machinery of government
- Able to effectively build relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
- Brings new ideas and knowledge to policy discussions and strategic conversations, with strong analytical capability
- Brings strong risk perspective with ability to provide thought recommendations
- Understanding of Tikanga Māori / Te Tiriti o Waitangi
