**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Use infrastructure management tools to determine load and performance statistics.
- Identify operational problems and contribute to their resolution, checking that they are managed in accordance with agreed standards and procedures.
- Provide suggestions for improvement to specialists, users and managers.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of maintenance and installation work, including building and configuration of infrastructure components in virtualised and cloud-based environments.
- Implement agreed infrastructure changes and maintenance routines. Configure tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment and monitoring of new and changed infrastructure.

You will have a proven track record in improving operational support and a strong desire to make IT operations a modern workplace. Critical for this role is an open mindset: to respectfully challenge your colleagues and be ready to be challenged yourself. Another key to your success will be your attention to detail and diligence towards adding value in a challenging environment. As an excellent communicator you will be able to deliver required outcomes in a focused, professional manner.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**:
- Expert knowledge of Windows Server OS (2003 through to 2019).
- Strong knowledge of Cloud services and practices (Azure & AWS).
- Expert knowledge and experience in Active Directory, DNS, OU design and management, Group Policy, AD security, AD certificate services, LDAP, DHCP, Privileged Access.
- Proficient knowledge and experience with automation and scripting (using PowerShell/Ansible).
- Experience with patching automation.
- Basic networking skills.
- Focus on quality and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Familiarity with Kanban, Agile, Scrum, DevOps and SRE.
- Creative, self-starter, addresses challenges in an ordered, collaborative manner.
- Loves to learn and share, particularly new technologies & development processes.
- Previous work experience in the health sector would be beneficial for success in this role.
