**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

The key purpose of this role is to lead the planning, development and co-ordination of testing and commissioning and progressive asset acceptance for Auckland Transport (AT) public transport infrastructure, supporting and coordinating the testing and commissioning phase of City Rail Link (CRL)

The role operates in a highly exposed and very complex contractual environment. The project sponsors are the Mayor of Auckland and two Cabinet Ministers, driving a high level of scrutiny by Boards and Executives of local government and Crown agencies.

Responsibilities include:

- Managing and verifying the plan coordinating T&C inputs from Auckland One Rail and Downer and the wider AT where relevant and support the management & monitoring of progress.
- Managing of T&C resources to facilitate the acceptance of interdependency activities required by the testing and commissioning programme with our partners (including CAF, on-time and to budget.
- Management of the handover plan and satisfactory documentation of asset configuration coverage within AIS (Asset Information System) for the CRL assets and Interfacing with AOR, Downer and AT's Asset management BAU team.

To be successful in this role, you will have at least 10 years' experience in transport operations or asset management for a vertically integrated transport network, preferably including railway or airport experience.
- Engineering degree or similar.
- Asset management experience (preferably ISO-55000).
- Project or Programme Management qualification desirable.
- Relevant degree in transport, engineering management or related field.
- Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and operational criteria.
- Knowledge of Project Management and asset management techniques; and applicable railway standards, such as EN50126 and ISO-55000.
- Experience with working in a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication, consultation and negotiation skills.
- Highly organised - self-starter, plans and prioritises well and manages time to focus self and others on the most important activities.
- Personal resilience - able to sustain a high level of energy and positivity during times when the team, is under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a changing environment.
