The Role
As a Specialist, Product you will provide expertise and specialist knowledge in the delivery and execution of Product and Portfolio initiatives across IAG NZ channels to assist the facilitation of key strategic projects to enable growth and profitability and ensuring adherence and management of the Group Product Policy.
Key responsibilities
- Programme Of Work - Provide support, analysis, reporting and solutions, assisting in the production and management of key product documents and activities, and implementation of tactical product initiatives.
- Stakeholder Management - Maintain and enhance working relationships with key stakeholders’ enterprise wide, keeping them well informed of relevant initiatives and progress.
- Compliance and Risk Management - Ensure a sound understanding of, demonstrate commitment to and comply with all aspects of the Group Product Policy and IAG risk policies and practices, ensuring sign-off of work is completed and records are kept.
About you
Your strong written and verbal communication skills, eye for detail and analytical nature combined with your ability to see the big picture will be essential to your success in this position. You will be in your element developing and reading policy documents and other technical content, analysing, and comparing products, monitoring, and reporting on market developments, and assisting with product management activity. You will enjoy juggling multiple tasks and working as part of a team, as well taking ownership of various projects. You will also have the ability to read and interpret financial results.
You will bring a high technical understanding of insurance products and have at least 2-3 years’ experience in general insurance or financial services.
