**Job Description** He aha te tūranga** - About the role**:
As the Regional Manager Community Engagement you'll be responsible for supporting the local regional trust boards as well as leading effective relationship building and local capacity and capability building within their regions and with Area Committees.
- Lead effective relationship-building and local capacity and capability
- building in regions and with Area Committees, optimising and sharing resources, supporting Hato Hone St John (HHSJ) to be a sustainable partner of choice, and aligning delivery to the needs of local communities.
- Inform and support the local Regional Trust Board (RTB) - via the RTB Chair-communicating, in collaboration with the General Manager Community Engagement and other relevant teams on national and regional affairs and performance, to inform their discussions and role under the approved delegations for the region.
- Lead and manage the work and performance of the region's Community Engagement Managers to ensure effective relationship-building and local capacity and capability building, optimising, and sharing resources and supporting HHSJ to be a sustainable partner of choice across regional communities, under the IBP and CH strategy and priorities, maximising, Area Committee IBP focus, involvement and deliverables.
- Provide insights to the GM Community Engagement, on localised opportunities and risks to support informed planning, support, and decision
- making that maximise HHSJ's profile, reach and contribution across communities.
- Build and maintain highly effective relationships with the RTB Chair and Area Committees to ensure we deliver on the Community Health Strategy.

- Proven experience in people and relationship/stakeholder management in a medium to large and complex organisation.
- Experience working with volunteering with an excellent understanding of how to engage and retain volunteers.
