**The Role**

Ventia is an established service provider in the High Voltage electrical industry. We partner with leading NZ clients providing maintenance, installation, and construction services to a range of substation, industrial & commercial assets.

This role will see you performing project work across multiple high voltage clients across Napier and greater regions. This role is mainly local with some away work opportunities.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Working with a small team of dedicated and highly skilled staff
- Providing line construction services including poles and other line support structures, conductors, transformers, switches, earth banks and all associated equipment
- Maintaining and overhauling distribution lines and equipment, conducting scheduled maintenance and testing.
- Network fault identification and rectification
- Our depot is based in Napier but the jobs will take place at various locations across the South Island.

**What you can expect**
- 40hr working week
- Company use vehicle for commute to site.
- Flexibility for occasional working away from home (includes LAHA)
- Our depot is based in Napier, but the jobs will take place at various locations within the South Island.
- Join a team of experienced personnel.
- Working on sites such as substations, steel mills and infrastructure projects.

**What you need**
- Electrical registration from Electrical Workers Registration Board
- Qualifications in Electrical Fitting (Registered Electrician)
- White Card
- Valid full Class 1 NZ driver's licence
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of electrical theory and electrical testing
- Preferably have experience in the High Voltage electrical industry. However, commercial and industrial electricians will be considered.
- Demonstrate high levels of understanding of and adherence to the Health and Safety practices and regulations of the High Voltage Industry
