This retailer is a leader in women's fashion with a strong collaborative culture and proven track record in the industry. In this role you will be responsible for managing the quality of product from development through to bulk production. As a Quality Control Manager, you will set and ensure adherence of quality standards by monitoring the development of production and managing supplier relationships. You will be the key interference for Supplier Compliance ensuring the supplier is always aware of quality expectations at every stage of production as well as overseeing all shipping samples and approvals before bulk ships.

Key Responsibilities:

- Setting and monitoring quality standards for the factories following the brands requirements ensuring the quality of the product is maintained through various stages of production.
- Building proactive relationships to regularly liaise with suppliers/vendors ensuing all shipping samples have been processed before bulk ships.
- Regularly travel when needed and perform a range of QC inspections tasks including but not limited to in-line inspections, final inspections, audit of packaged goods and analysis of quality reports.
- Creating faulty product reports weekly recording all faulty products while working alongside the GT team to ensure faults are resolved, ensuring sustainability and quality is at forefront of the production process.
- Sourcing new fabrics and ensuring weight, composition, and performance meet brand requirements.
- Strong capabilities to have a customer focused attitude by developing a deep understand of the brands consumers and utilising this knowledge to suggest improvements and contribute to the overall success of the business.

About You:

- A minimum 5 years’ experience working in a fashion retail environment
- Prior experience/exposure in a production-based role that deals with offshore suppliers.
- Collaboratively work alongside the buying and production team to guide and inspire others.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and improve quality and product performance.
- Strong leadership capabilities to work independently for extended periods of time.
- Right to work in New Zealand.
- Ability to regularly travel internationally.
