Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission leads the public sector to make a positive difference for New Zealand and New Zealanders.
The Integrity, Ethics and Standards Group provide system leadership to promote a strong unifying culture and high standards of integrity across the public service. We do this by promoting and upholding the public service principles and values in the Public Service Act 2020. We provide advice, develop integrity standards, guidance and resources, work on active citizenship and initiatives to strengthen open government. Where necessary we undertake investigations into matters of integrity and conduct. We are looking for a talented Principal Advisor able to lead, support and promote initiatives to foster a culture of open government, and support the integrity functions of our group. This person will be able to provide timely, high-quality advice and contribute to strategic thinking on integrity matters. This is an opportunity to work alongside senior public service leaders to resolve emerging issues and to influence change at a system level. Policy analysis experience would be advantageous. You will have sophisticated inter-personal and relationship building skills and a track-record of delivering as part of a team. You will be a critical, deep thinker with excellent written and oral communication skills. This will include an ability to present complex issues simply to variety of different audiences, often at pace. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key member of a dynamic team undertaking challenging, varied, and important work in a collaborative and inclusive working environment.

This position usually pays between $122,380 to $150,940 depending on skills and experience.
