**Taitara Mahi - Business Support Officer - Aquatics, Sport and Recreation**
**_Permanent Part-time_**

The Community Wellbeing and Services Group includes Community Development, Toitoi - Hawkes Bay Arts & Events Centre, Libraries, Community Centres, Sports Centre, Aquatics Hastings, Hastings City Art Gallery and Senior Housing.

The purpose of this position is to provide Business Support services to our Sports and Recreation and Aquatics teams by providing a full range of efficient administrative services. You will be working closely with the Retail Services team, and the wider staff across the Aquatics, Sport & Rec facilities, providing expert level assistance with the POS system, and banking, as well as additional support with inventory and stock management.

In this role your duties will include:

- Daily, weekly, monthly reconciliation/banking
- Monthly inventory management and order tracking
- Training, configuration and reporting of the POS systems
- Excellent customer service internally and externally

This is a permanent part-time position, working 20+ hours per week, including some weekend hours during the summer season.

- Are a confident office administrator, with the ability to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure, and conflicting priorities to meet deadlines.
- Have a commitment to providing high quality services both internally and externally.
- Are tech savvy with the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Have excellent customer service and communication skills to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Have retail, inventory, supplier, and stock management experience
- A strong desire to take initiative and always seek improvement
