We are searching for a Site Assistant/Labourer to join the construction team based in Te-Kauwhata to start with and then the South Auckland area. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will help maintain a safe, tidy, organised, and secure site while providing support and assistance to the team.

**What your day-to-day will look like**:

- Completing site security checks, including locking and unlocking gates, doors and windows
- Conducting site induction/orientation to all internal and external visitors, ensuring hazards and H&S risks are identified, explained and understood
- Signing employees/subcontractors/visitors in and out of the site, ensuring appropriate PPE are worn
- Providing general building support to the onsite team
- Making sure the right signage is up at all times
- Keeping site, office and containers/sheds tidy and organised
- Ensuring facilities are clean, in good working order and stocked - toilets are cleaned daily on arrival, and the kitchen is open, cleaned and stocked.
- Coordinating material deliveries and making sure they are delivered to the right place on-site with the correct documentation
- Ensure plant/materials are in the right location and at the right time
- Maintain a clean site by working with subcontractors to clean up after their work.

**About you**:

- Experience in a similar role
- Strong commitment to Health and Safety with the ability to raise concerns professionally and confidently
- Fit and healthy as you will be required to lift around 20 kg
- Ability to build strong relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confident with strong public speaking skills
- An ability to think practically with problem-solving capability
- Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills
- Full, clean Class 1 Driver License.

**Salary**: $27.00 - $28.00 per hour
