**The organisation**

A large and critical retail business that all kiwis depend on in some shape or form. They are the leading grocery retailer for the South Island and have a strong commitment to local communities.

**Background to role**

This is a newly established role within a large enterprise organisation which will involve working with the support, development, technical, project and architecture teams to co-ordinate, schedule and develop the Release processes to deliver seamless provision of business value. Part of the reason they are establishing the role is also to minimise organisational risk by establishing thorough and maintainable processes.

**Your role**

You will be responsible for owning and driving the Change and Release Management processes to improve services across the entire co-operative, including our member-owned markets, our supply chain and support centre. The primary purpose of this role is to champion the management of the Change Enablement practice across IT, through the continual improvement of tools and processes to minimise the risk of disruption and loss to the co-operative. You will chair and manage the Change Advisory Board meetings, manage scheduling of production changes and ensure that changes have been appropriately tested.

**Key skills you will bring**
- IT related tertiary qualification and evidence of ongoing development
- 5+ years managing IT changes or other IT Service Management in a large IT environment
- ITIL or other change and release related qualifications
- Excellent communication skills with a wide breadth of stakeholders
- Broad range of knowledge of IT software and hardware
- Strong planning and organizational skills together with excellent attention to detail
- Working knowledge of retail operations and SAP exposure would be a bonus
