Mō tēnei tūranga - about the role We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Workplace Relations Advisor to join our busy team. Reporting to the National Manager Workplace Relations, the Senior Advisor Workplace Relations has an important role within the Workplace Relations Directorate. This role will sit within a small Workplace Relations team who will provide advice and guidance across the full range of employment and workplace relations matters. The team will be a key enabler to build a workplace where everyone is safe, welcomed and included. The Senior Advisor will work closely with other People functions to embed the employment relations strategy.Ko tāu nā i tēnei tūranga - What you'll bring to the role: As a Senior Advisor, skilled in human resource and workplace relation policies, you will bring your ability to coach and empower managers to build and maintain positive working relationships. You will be a strong problem solver who proactively and effectively manages internal and external stakeholder relationships to develop sound solutions to complex issues.To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will:

- Significant experience in a broadly focused employment or workplace relations role.
- A relevant tertiary qualification.
- Sound working knowledge of New Zealand employment law.
- High level advocacy and negotiation skills.
- Experience working with unions workforce representative groups.
- Exceptional time management skills

The salary range for this role is $134,190 - $149,100 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.Ko wai mātou - who are we?
