Pūtake Tūranga | Role Purpose
We are looking for an experienced Media Advisor who will be responsible for the planning, management, and delivery of media participation in official visits and events.
Join a fast paced, service focused team responsible for planning and organising Official Visits to New Zealand and National Commemorative Events. The role provides specialist advice and support on media management, working as part of a high performing team in an exciting Government environment.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**:

- At least 3 years' experience working in media, communications and/or public relations.
- Previous event-related media management and engagement.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for all levels and complexities.
- Experience with engaging external stakeholder groups and contributing to developing and delivering work that has had a positive impact.
- Needs to have experienced working in high-pressure fast-moving environment and be comfortable with producing quality work to deadline.
- Experience in contributing to solving problems and developing options and provide trusted, and sound advice.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering a quality product, sometimes under pressure, and always delivering on time.
- An understanding of official visits and previous experience interacting with foreign dignitaries within events would be advantageous.

The ability to work autonomously and irregular hours is required for this position.
