We are looking for an energetic Visits and Events Organiser to join the team and support the delivery of a varied programme of visits and events.

Join a fast paced, service focussed team responsible for planning and organising Official Visits to New Zealand and National Commemorative Events. You will organise and deliver high quality visits and events, managing planning, execution and expectations. Develop your event planning or project management experience, working as part of a high performing team in an exciting Government environment.

Do you have:

- 5+ years’ experience in event management
- Strong project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure
- Preparing and following event budgets
- Risk managements and health and safety practice experience
- Demonstrated experience of developing and maintaining trusted relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience with Pacific cultures, values, languages, and ways of working is preferred
- Be eligible to obtain a National Security Clearance

The ability to work irregular hours is required for this position. This role also requires domestic travel.

An understanding of official visits and previous experience interacting with foreign dignitaries within events would be advantageous.
