**Our Opportunity**

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Team Lead to join our Meadow Fresh dairy manufacturing site in Christchurch. This role supports the food safety and regulatory compliance activities across the site. As the Quality Assurance Team Lead you will play an important role in driving continuous improvement of the food safety and quality management systems through improving quality compliance, reduction in quality costs and best in class quality/food safety performance.

Key responsibilities include:

- Support the implementation of the site quality strategy
- Support food safety and regulatory compliance activities across the site.
- Proactively identify where quality management systems require improvement
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and customer standards across the quality, good manufacturing practice and food safety systems
- Lead 3-5 direct reports and provide a work environment that encourages our people to perform and grow to their full potential
- Lead and participate in internal and external audit programmes including the coordination of corrective actions and close out
- Provide support for quality issues, incidents & customer complaint investigations
- Make operational decisions as related to Quality issues in production, including deputizing for the site Quality Manager

**About You**

To be a success in this role we are looking for an experienced Quality lead with proven experience with the implementation and maintenance of food safety and quality management systems in a food manufacturing environment.

Skillsets and competencies we are looking for include:

- Tertiary qualification in Food Science / Technology with advanced HACCP & Internal Auditor certifications
- Demonstrated experience in people leadership
- Understanding of food production processes and food regulation, preferably in the diary industry
- The ability to identify and leverage opportunities to transform and improve processes and drive a quality culture across an operational workforce
