Pact is currently looking for 2 permanent Community Support Workers to work in our Mental Health service in Dunedin.

You could say the role is somewhat similar to hospitality as you will be working with people face to face, otherwise in our industry known as support work

We have the flexibility of different work shifts that can complement your studies, families or your busy lifes schedule. We offer shifts from mornings, evenings, weekends right through to overnight. Our vacancies range from casual, part and full time roles.

Each day will be different and may involve:
*Building rapport with our clients *Hosting daily trips within the community *Encouraging our clients participation in day to day life *Supporting individuals to achieve their goals *Reconnecting our clients to their social and whanau connection *Maintaining health and educational commitments *Motivating clients to believe they have purpose *Ensure client processes are accurately documented

We focus on self-development, where you will have a chance to train and gain further education on the job, which enhances your CV within the organisation. Our starting rate is $24.06 an hour and increases to $28.25 after completing your Career Force Level 4 qualification with us, which is on the job based training. We offer a lot of training which ensures you have the skills to be the best support person within Pact.

*Position 1: Corrections role *Position 2: Part time, Sat & Sun, 8:30am to 4:30pm (32 hours per fortnight)

As we operate 24/7, hours of work will include day, evening, weekend, awake night and sleepover shifts.

Desired Skills and Experience No qualifications needed (unless on a visa), however there will be an expectation that you will be willing to start working towards obtaining a level 4 mental health qualification after your first year of employment. You must be an energetic, lively person who wants whats best for those around them. Previous professional experience in the mental health field will be an advantage.

*A full drivers license and computer skills are essential *If on a work visa, this must be valid for at least 12 months
