**The Opportunity**
- Opportunity for a Territory Manager **based in the Upper South Island, New Zealand**
- ** Full-time Permanent** position to **join a global trusted leader** in **Animal Health**
- Excellent renumeration with all tools for trade provided, Vehicle, Phone, Ipad etc
- ** Be fully supported as the Upper South Island Territory Sales** Manager representing the following brands through veterinary practices, rural retailers and to end users:

- **Animal Health**: Veterinary Medicines for companion and large animals
- **Coopers**:Drenches, dips, pour ons
- **Allflex**: Animal Intelligence, ID Tags

The primary responsibility of the Territory Manager is to maximise sales across the company’s product range within a designated territory. The Territory Manager is based in field within their defined territory and reports to the Sales Lead.

Our Territory Representatives interact face to face with our customers, understand their needs and consult to offer the right solutions. We work collaboratively in Field Sales Teams and play a critical role in supporting our customer centric business model.

**What You Will Do**

**_ Responsibilities include, however not limited to:_**
- Drive activity levels for assigned territory and products to achieve sales targets
- Develop and implement territory plans to achieve sales targets, regularly revising activity against achievement
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers and clients e.g, Farmers, Veterinarians, Rural Resellers, Store Managers. Field Representatives, Business Managers, etc
- Utilise Technical Advisors within territory to influence customers and clients to assist in delivery of technical messaging and drive sales
- Leverage strong business relationships to deliver business results
- Identify customer needs and clearly communicate how our company Animal Health products and services can provide solutions
- Effectively articulates the value in the companies Animal Health products versus other animal health options
- Identify and participate in all promotions with the goal of maximising sales
- Develop local and territory specific promotions with a strong focus on the return on investment
- Provide technical and sales training activities to distributors/partners to ensure proper messaging is being transferred to the end user
- Ensure product complaint investigation, pricing queries, compliance issues and follow up requests are executed appropriately and within required timelines
- Provide corporate sales presentations to relevant consumer groups, customers & distributors
- Regularly analyse customer data (through MAXX and other sources) to assist with territory, customer and pre-call planning, and the identification and targeting of high value customers
- Record customer interactions within CRM systems (e.g. MAXX) to inform next call objectives, and to assist in building a single view of the customer to inform marketing strategy and tactics
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge, as well as a broader understanding of Animal Health issues
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge for competitor products to ensure best positioning of our companies Animal Health products
- Maintain an active interest in improving selling skills, including company selling programs, key account management principals
- Ensure effective communication across the sales and marketing team, share knowledge and participate positively in sales team meetings and marketing-initiated forums
- Monitor competitor activity, developing action plans to counteract within territory
- Keep sales lead and informed of competitor activity via regular reporting
- Ensure all business activity complies with all relevant Acts, policies and procedures

**What You Must Have**
- Tertiary degree preferred not essential
- Demonstrated commercial success in a sales role essential
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other technologies (e.g I-Pads) essential
- Ability to build long term relationships
- Ability to convey technical information in a manner easily understood
- High level of flexibility and resilience
- Good understanding of farming practices within New Zealand
