Our talented team members embody these mindsets and are passionate about making a difference at T&G. **About the opportunity** We have an opportunity for a Production Manager to join our Nelson Branch. In our peak season your hours will be Monday - Saturday 6am - 6pm, During off peak season you will be required to work Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm, Flexibility is important for this role. Reporting to the **Packhouse Manager**, the Production Manager is responsible for ensuring **Packhouse **work is completed safely and to the highest quality through management of staff and strategic labour requirements for the site You will provide effective leadership to the Packhouse Team Member to perform to their potential. You will also be responsible for planning staff meetings, unlocking and preparing the Packhouse for the day, Constantly checking the quality of fruit, Setting goals for the team and identifying any problems occurred the day before and planning how to minimize those **About you** The successful applicant will bring the following attributes: - Proven leadership and people management skills - Food industry and/or manufacturing knowledge is beneficial but not essential - Continuous Improvement, Lean Management. - A grounded approach with a "can-do" attitude and the ability to get in and do what's needed - Ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds - Clear and logical problem-solving skills. - Competent across the Microsoft Suite of products It goes without saying that you will have exceptional communication, negotiation and time management skills, enabling you to prioritise workloads and ensure deadlines are met. **_ We want T&G to be a place where everyone is accepted, respected and celebrated for who they are - regardless of our similarities or differences.
