**About the Role**

As Category Lead you’ll drive an industry leading product portfolio that gives us a distinct competitive advantage. You’ll be managing stakeholder relationships across our supply chain, which includes our domestic and international suppliers. This role is focused on optimising our product portfolio in New Zealand, while maintaining profitability in line with our strategic goals.
- Ensuring that the NZ category portfolios are customer led and provide a distinct competitive advantage; undertaking regular range views for optimisation and new product opportunities
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, negotiating commercial terms
- Drive product innovation and development; managing products from concept to launch, collaborating with key stakeholders to bring things to life
- Developing industry relationships that ensure exposure to ongoing innovation and disruption
- Providing reporting and insights on category portfolios (using Excel and Power BI); analysing results to provide updates on trends and other impacts
- Develop procurement plans that enable the efficient supply of products
- Having the customer at the heart of everything you do, helping us build customers for life at Reece

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Demonstrated experience in a similar category management role, we will also consider related experience in retail, procurement, supply chain and marketing
- Ideally you will also have had some experience working in B2B trade environment
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a passion for mentoring and sharing your knowledge and expertise, and an ability to present and engage audiences
- A positive, can-do attitude and an inquisitive nature, with a thirst to understand the Reece business and products
- Strong relationship building skills, you’ll be working with a number of stakeholders within the business and external vendors and suppliers
- Good excel and Power BI skills
- Business or Marketing degree qualification
