As the Foodstuffs South Island - **Key Account Executive**, your job will be to support DB’s FSSI Business Manager in the day to day running of the account which deals with our largest national retail partnerships between DB and FSSI. The account comprises of four banners in New World, Pak ‘n Save, Four Square supermarkets & Trent’s Wholesalers. Day to day, you’ll provide analytical and commercial support to this account to make sure the partnership balances the needs of both parties and achieves objectives in market share and profit. Not only will you be a crucial support team member to the FSSI account, you’ll also have ownership and accountability for the Four Square and Trent’s partnership. This is a great opportunity to develop your key account skill set while making a positive contribution to the FSSI team. You’ll also contribute to the overall success of your own team through projects and initiatives that enable DB to navigate the ever-challenging economic landscape.

This role in particular has been a great place for a number of our more senior team members who were able to make a positive impact, deliver on objectives and develop their capability in order to take a career step with us. It’d suit someone who truly values relationships and enjoys adding value, so an experienced field salesperson might see this as a great chance to pivot. Equally, the experience of a category analyst would suit the analytical component, using their commercial lens to develop insights and spot opportunities. Regardless of your background, good Excel skills are required, and experience with Nielsen data would be helpful but isn’t essential. Likewise, FMCG or grocery experience would help you hit the ground running, but we’re open to industry background.
