This is a busy and varied role with a real focus on delivering great customer service through administration that supports our clients, visitors, and staff members.
You will be responsible for a range of administration duties including (but not limited to), assisting social work teams in managing client financial plans, maintaining reports, producing reports for management, keeping updated records on our information system database, and producing Court lists and filing documents.
Strong customer service skills and organisational skills is the key to success. You will also bring your problem-solving ability and enjoy communicating with people and positively manage internal and external business relationships confidently.

Do you want to make a difference to New Zealand's tamariki, rangatahi, their whānau and the community? Join a great, supportive, and fun team and grow your administration experience to new heights in our Dannevirke Site.
- Be responsible for all the administration needs of your Social Worker colleagues including assistance with financial plans for our tamariki and rangatahi
- Liaise with vendors, casual staff, and other stakeholders
- Work with various cultural groups and people from different backgrounds
- Setting up board placements and providing resources with necessities
- Booking rooms, answering phones, and assisting on the reception desk
- Organising welcomes for newcomers and whānau as and when required
- Deal with critical scenarios in a calm, professional manner
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring
- Demonstrated work experience in administration
- Confidence and experience using Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and Word
- Excellent attention to detail with effective organisation and prioritisation skills
- Initiative, a proactive approach and not afraid to ask questions
- Great relationship skills with the ability to work as part of a team and add support as and where needed
- Amazing verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt to your audience
- A positive outlook and supporting nature
- Basic accounting and numeracy skills
- An understanding of Te Reo would be an advantage
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
