We have an opportunity for an experienced property/building expert to join our Property and Support Services team. We are looking for someone who has in-depth knowledge of all things property.
About us
Everyday the GCSB and NZIS work to protect and enhance New Zealand's security and wellbeing to keep New Zealander's secure and safe. The National Property Advisor sits within the National Intelligence Community, working closely with the GCSB and NZIS to provide advice and guidance on property and facility matters.
About the role
The National Property Advisor is responsible for leading the review of NZIC property and facilities management strategy and planning across our property portfolio. This role will undertake a wide review of current state property and facilities in line with legislative compliance, regulatory standards and best practice. The National Property Advisor will provide advice to the NZIC and will also lead the development and delivery of property projects.
What you will bring
We are looking for someone with a high level of self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously, along with:

- Proven experience in property/facilities planning and management
- The ability to balance strategic imperatives with operational realities
- Knowledge and high level understanding of NZ building legislation and regulations
- Experience in project planning and delivery
- Excellent problem solving skills with demonstrated innovation and judgement
- Strong relationship management skills, including the ability to influence others
- High attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills
- A valid clean full New Zealand Driver's Licence is desirable
