National Trauma and Disability Advisor - Full Time - National Office - Frequent Travel - "Supporting Families, Caring for Children" The Open Home Foundation (OHF) is a Christian Community Response and has a vision that every child and young person has the opportunity to grow up in a secure, loving family and receive a depth of care which will bless them throughout their lives. We are seeking a person to provide advice and support across Open Home Foundation that ensures a focus on disability and high and complex needs children / young people is being maintained in Service Centre's and that practice is being continually improved. **The successful applicant will have**: - Knowledge and experience in working with children/young people with disabilities and/or high and complex needs - Experience or strong interest in working with children/young people and families in a trauma-informed way - The ability to form and maintain relationships with key stakeholders - Understanding of contractual requirements - Ability to analyse and problem-solve - Ability to inspire, motivate and encourage service centre staff and foster parents - Highly developed written and verbal communications skills - Ability to manage competing priorities and demands - Competency/qualification that enable them to become registered with the Social Work Registration Board - An in-depth understanding of how the role recognises the special relationship between Maori and Tauiwi and strong empathy with the organisation’s special character - A full New Zealand driver's license is essential. - An alignment with the Open Home Foundation’s Christian Kaupapa. - Preference will be given to someone based in the Central North Island Region.
