We are on the lookout for an Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Team Leader to join our Finance team, located at Auckland Headquarters. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a busy role best suited to an experienced team leader or a successful accounts payable/accounts receivables person who is ready to take the next step in their career.

**About the role and responsibilities**:

- Provide Leadership to our AR and AP Clerks
- Oversee day-to-day AP and AR operations, including invoice processing, payment processing, collections, and reconciliations
- Ensure the accuracy of ledgers and timeliness of processing
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, to resolve any issues related to AP and AR functions.
- Support the month-end close-off process including month and year-end deadlines for reporting and compliance to ensure AP and AR functions are running effectively.
- Maintaining accurate and complete financial, customer and supplier records.
- Various AP and AR tasks as required, including processing credit card expenses, uploading payment files, customer and supplier enquiries etc.
- Provide regular reporting to management on team performance, financial metrics, and system-related issues.
- Develop and implement strategies to streamline processes and enhance efficiency in AP and AR functions.
- Participate in system testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any system-related issues.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and best practices, and ensure team compliance

**You'll need**:

- 5 + years of AP & AR experience, supervisory experience preferred
- High-volume data experience preferred
- A good knowledge of Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- A proactive approach to identify problems before they become urgent
