Policy and Enablement Manager: Protective Security

Lead a team which delivers policy and operational policy advice, guidance and products that support our customers to achieve security uplift, including through implementing the PSR framework.
The team includes a mix of policy, research, analysis, governance and business coordination roles, working together and with PSR outreach and advisory colleagues to deliver on customer and stakeholder needs, both within and outside of Government.

**About the role**:
Day-to-day you'll be responsible for the leadership of a new team, including people development and development and oversight of the work programme.
You will work as part of a collegiate and joined-up PSR Unit Leadership Team which actively supports communication, coordination and collaboration across all functions of the PSR Unit. This includes implementing ways of working that ensure flow and alignment between PSR advisory, outreach and policy functions, to deliver optimal outcomes for our customers.

**What you'll bring**:

- A track record in policy and/or operational policy development and implementation, including across functions.
- Proven experience leading, developing and maintaining highly performing teams and delivering results through others.
- A strong customer service ethic and collaborative approach, with the ability to create and sustain collegial and effective working relationships.
- Confidence and ability to brief senior stakeholders and represent the PSR Unit and NZSIS publicly with a range of government and non-government stakeholders.
- A good business improvement mind, which looks for opportunity to improve how we work together to deliver for our customers.

This is a newly created position and we are looking for someone with the enthusiasm, skill and commitment to build a new team and chart a future course.
To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
