**About the Company**:
This independent agency handles complaints about the actions and decisions of government agencies, undertakes investigations and inspections, and provides advice and guidance to ensure people in New Zealand are treated fairly by the state.

**About the Role**:
You will lead and advise on all aspects of physical and personnel security, leading continuous improvement projects, identifying and assessing risks to the organisation and designing mitigations.

This means you will be at the forefront of the development of policies and procedures to make sure they are fit for purpose and in line with best practice to support the work of the company.

The role will allow you to draw on your previous experience and your expertise to advise and support the Manager of the Security team. The role will be fast-paced, requiring an ability to manage the workflow in a timely manner. It will require a flexible approach as the nature and content of the work will change depending on the requirements of each area of protective security.

**Skills & Experience**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification in security or a relevant field and/or as least 5 years equivalent work experience in a similar position.
- Extensive experience in physical and/or personnel security or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of current physical and personnel security standards and practices.
