**Mō te tūranga** - **About the role**
We have two Health Care Assistant roles to fill in a hospital-level care capacity - one is for morning shifts and the other is for afternoon shifts. We work with a fixed roster so you can plan ahead but the ability to offer some flexibility to pick up additional shifts, to provide cover in the home is always welcomed. As a Health Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to our residents in their daily living and social requirements. Your key responsibilities will be:
- Deliver the highest standard of personalised care to every Resident
- Support and encourage residents to maintain their independence and make decisions for themselves
- Assist and support the activities of daily living in a way that meets the Eden principles and the Domains of Wellbeing
- Take instruction and tasks from the Registered Nurse
- Ensure resident’s needs are attended to effectively and in a timely manner
**Mō koe**:
- **About You**
As well as a passion for the wellbeing of older people, you will be enthusiastic but patient and well organised; with great interpersonal skills and a sense of humour. You will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect. In addition, you will have:
- Careerforce Level 2 Health and Wellbeing Certificate or above.
- Experience in providing hospital level care
- Ability to be an active member of a team environment
- Good verbal communication and documentation skills
- Basic computer skills
