**Location**:Radius Thornleigh Park, 25 Heta Rd, Highlands Park, New Plymouth 4312

**Hours of work**:40 hours per week, Wednesdays to Sundays
- Note: Radius Care cannot support a work visa/visa change for this role_

**About the role**:
Take charge of the overall operations of the kitchen area, and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly, and complies with menu standards and safety regulations.

**Duties include**:

- Ensure food is prepared according to menu plans, and that special dietary needs of residents are met.
- Design special function menus, ensuring that the brief and budgetary requirements are met
- Maintain appropriate quality and infection control standards
- Manage purchasing of supplies. ensuring adequate stock levels at all times
- Reviewing and assessing procedures to ensure employees maintain a safe and hygienic cooking environment
- Being a key part of the hiring process for new kitchen staff, and orienting new staff to the kitchen.
- Ensuring the kitchen is a safe and healthy environment

**Skills and Experience**:

- Previous experience in the same role preferred
- Excellent organisational skills and reliability
- Personable, with a positive attitude and excellent people skills
- Experience leading a team preferred, but not essential
