We’re on the hunt for a versatile digital star in the form of a comment moderator and homepage editor, and to play a key role in leading our flagship nzherald.co.nz website.**

Curating and moderating comments for our Herald Premium offering will form a large part of this role. You will identify topics of strong public interest and debate and foster discussion and feedback that places nzherald.co.nz at the centre of public conversation. You will continue to use our comment-moderation strategy to encourage audience engagement and create a safe online community for readers.

The role also involves homepage editing for the nzherald.co.nz website, where you will ensure content is lively and engaging, with Herald Premium content showcased appropriately and breaking news handled fast and effectively. You’ll be leading the direction of nzherald.co.nz on desktop, mobile and app.

This position offers a rare chance to get a foothold in New Zealand’s leading media and entertainment organisation and to help us continue to drive the huge growth in our digital audience. You’ll have a relevant qualification, or a minimum of NCEA Level 2 English, with writing/editing skills and a good understanding of journalism practices and policies.
