Maintenance and Construction Tradesperson

We are seeking to employ a suitably skilled person for this hands-on position. The successful applicant will report to the Maintenance & Development Manager, who is responsible for all maintenance work and new construction projects at the Park.

**Duties for this position will include**:
Maintenance tasks that will require carpentry, painting, welding, basic plumbing, vehicle maintenance and other general repair work.

Hands-on construction of facility upgrades and new developments.

Supervision of contractors working on-site.

General upkeep of the grounds and facilities to maintain a high level of presentation.

Overseeing staff to provide guidance and training.

The ideal applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:
Strong background in carpentry.

A trade qualification, e.g. LBP, would be considered an advantage.

Demonstrated experience with staff supervision, e.g. site foreman, would be advantageous.

A full drivers licence. Endorsements, e.g. WTR, would be considered an advantage.

Good communication and customer skills.

Responsible, mature outlook and team player.

A “can do” attitude and willing to take on a wide range of duties.

High level of physical fitness.

Able to work unsupervised and supervise the work of others when required.

A firearms licence is considered an advantage.

The working week for the position is Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend work may be required to cover rosters. This position is full time, 40 hours per week. Hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm. Salary will be in accordance with skills and experience.
