**What will you do?**

We are on the lookout for an experienced and reliable Fit out Site Supervisor to support the fit-out packages on our Havelock North construction site in Hawkes Bay, on our main care centre. The main care centre is three stories and has a value of $59m. You will lead a site-based construction team and take responsibility for health and safety, project planning, execution and quality assurance of works on site, and ensure work is proceeding as per site plans and specifications.

Your work will be diverse and varied and you will have the opportunity to work on an exciting, unique, large scale project.

In this full-time position, you will:

- Assist the Site Manager & Project Manager to lead and support the fit out of our care centre
- Be responsible for managing the overall logistics, program and contractors of the site and supporting the project team (foreman and safety etc) to achieve a successful outcome
- Manage sizable teams of direct labour and sub-contractors
- Communicate at all levels with site staff and our consultants to meet project timelines

**About you**

Our work at Ryman is varied - no day is the same, and we are looking for people to join our team who are proactive and put safety above everything. To be successful in this role you will have:

- An understanding of services in a commercial apartment block or larger
- Proven experience supervising finishing trades
- An interior background is preferred, with proven fit out experience
- Be trade qualified working your way up from the tools
- Proven experience delivering $100m+ commercial or multi-story residential construction projects in a main contractor environment
- A 'can-do' attitude and the leadership skills required to create a great working culture
- A demonstrated understanding of the importance of safety, and are computer savvy
- An ability to communicate effectively and influence, persuade and guide others
- A flexible and adaptable approach, as well as the ability to adjust your style to work effectively with different people
