Auckland City, New Zealand Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Full time

Progress your career at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora at a key time of change where you will meaningfully contribute to our kaupapa of creating a more equitable, accessible, cohesive and people-centered health system.
**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

The Assurance Audit and Risk function has a range of team members across multiple disciplines, including audit, investigations, and risk management. We work in a dynamic environment, adapting as necessary to support the business in improving and delivering value. This is a team where we all pitch in to support each other in delivering services across Internal Audit, Provider Audit, Certification Audit, Health Payment Integrity Audit, and Risk Management.

The Executive Assistant to the Chief of Assurance Audit and Risk (CoAAR), is responsible for delivering high quality and timely executive support and advice to the CoAAR and being the central point of contact into the wider Assurance Audit and Risk team. In addition to diary management and effective administration, the role requires exceptional relationship management with both internal and external stakeholders. This includes the public, Ministers of the Crown and their offices, and executives from other government organisations.

This is a full time, permanent role based in Auckland, and is currently _open only to internal Health NZ or Te Aka Whai Ora applicants._

**Mōu | About you**

You will be a skilled Executive Assistant with experience at this level in a large, complex organisation or government agency. Your outstanding verbal and written communication skills, sound judgement and critical thinking will be vital to this role, alongside your talent in building rapport and managing effective relationships, both internally and externally. As the main contact point for the team, you know you will be privy to sensitive information and are conscious of the need for confidentiality. You also understand that maintaining a sense of humour is important for building and maintaining connections across the team.

**Ko te mahi e tika ana mō te ao hurihuri nei |Work that suits today's ever-changing world**

Health NZ supports flexible and hybrid working for our kaimahi. While this role requires presence on site in the office of the CoAAR, arrangements may be made for remote working from home for a portion of the working week, as agreed. We want our national teams to be made up of diverse people from across the motu, just like our health system.

**Tō mātou whakahaere ki te tika, te rerekētanga, me te whai wāhi mai |Our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion**

Te Whatu Ora means ‘the weaving of wellness'. Whatu is the combining together of people, resources, organisations, thoughts and actions for the betterment and wellbeing of all. Whatu is also a direct reference to the pupil of the eye, and the vision required of the new entity and system.

At Health NZ we acknowledge and respect our people's diversity and spiritual needs, ensuring a safe workplace that is a whānau orientated and supportive environment. We are working towards a system that better meets the complex demands of a growing population, addresses the persistent inequalities experienced by Māori and ensures greater access, experience and outcomes for those traditionally not well served by the system - Māori, Pacific and Disabled People.
