**About the role**
An opportunity has come around to join the Trades Academy Team in the Upper North Island as a Trades Academy Tutor in the Waikato area. In this role you would deliver quality Trades Academy programmes by providing students with a consistent, dynamic, and valuable learning experience, enabling students to have the theoretical and practical knowledge to be set up for a career pathway in the primary industry.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure all student results, reviews and evaluations are completed promptly, while ensuring a coherent, safe, and valuable learning experience in accordance with programme requirements.
- Actively promote Trades Academy programmes to schools.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders.
- Tutor students as required.
- Perform the requirements of the position safely at all times while providing a safe learning environment for all students.
This is a permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week Monday to Friday) is flexible within the Waikato area and would have access to our Hamilton office.
**Skills and Experience**
You would ideally have:
- Experience in teaching, tutoring and assessment with proven ability to effectively deliver interesting informative programmes. This would be beneficial but not desired.
- Experience in customer service with proven ability to build, maintain and proactively manage relationships.
- Ability to guide, coach, and train others.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge about the primary industry is advantageous, but this can be learned on the job with the right attitude as training would be provided.
