DSV Air & Sea is seeking to hire a skilled and passionate Warehouse Operator, Frieght Forwarding in Auckland.

The Warehouse Operator is responsible for the efficient handling of freight within a busy logistics environment. Key duties include un-packing and loading containers, conducting Regulated Air Cargo Agent (RACA) screening of freight, and ensuring all cargo is managed in compliance with industry regulations.

**Your typical day at DSV**:

- Achieve and maintain a high level of productivity in container un-packing, loading, and cargo handling.
- Maintain 100% compliance with RACA screening requirements and all relevant industry regulations.
- Ensure all cargo is handled and documented according to company and regulatory standards.
- Adhere strictly to Health & Safety protocols, aiming for zero incidents or accidents.
- Proactively identify and address potential safety hazards in the workplace.
- Work effectively with team members to ensure smooth and coordinated operations.
- Contribute to maintaining accurate inventory records by properly documenting all cargo movements.
- Reduce errors in inventory handling and storage by following best practices.
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and effectively.

**About You**:

- A valid forklift license is essential, with experience operating various types of forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach trucks).
- Certification as a Regulated Air Cargo Agent (RACA) or willingness to obtain this accreditation if not already held.
- Knowledge of workplace Health & Safety regulations is critical. A formal qualification in Health & Safety (e.g., a certificate or diploma) is advantageous.
- Having a first aid certification can be beneficial, especially in a high-risk environment like a warehouse.
- A basic educational background to ensure literacy and numeracy skills, which are necessary for following procedures and documentation.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment is highly desirable. Experience in freight forwarding or a similar industry is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy items, standing for long periods, and working in varied conditions.
- Experience adhering to strict safety protocols and working in environments where compliance with regulatory requirements is critical.
