Role Overview and Objectives
As an Intermediate QA Engineer, you will be a key player in creating, maintaining and supporting our automation solutions, providing technical support and expertise to junior automation engineers, actively participating in scrum team activities, and offering technical and product knowledge to the wider solutions team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with team to understand customer and business requirements, provide input on test considerations
- Plan, prepare and execute test cases against developed features and components
- Identify and report defects to the development team & work together to resolve
- Create and maintain automated test plans against developed features and functionality
- Maintain & improve existing automated solution implementations
- Continuous improvement of automation framework and workflow processes, keep solutions up to date with latest technologies
- Prepare and maintain documentation on system automation functionality, processes and test approaches
- Configure, use and manage test data and environments in strict accordance with all internal and customer security standards
- Perform testing across a range of areas - Front end/UI, database, API, regression & smoke testing
- Perform testing against legislative calculations and requirements e.g. Payroll calculations, tax calculations
- Work with test team to continuously improve testing and product quality
- Create and maintain appropriate documentation where necessary
- Foster a positive, inclusive and safe working environment with a ‘Can do’ attitude
- Perform stress, load and other performance testing on relevant parts of the system

- Technical and business level English is a must
- Proven ability to create detailed and accurate test plans
- Proven ability to perform functional testing based on business requirements and acceptance criteria
- Knowledge or experience with workflow / test management tools e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps
- 2+ years experience with automation script coding in C#, knowledge of coding principles
- Experience with create test suites with Open Source and/or commercial tools and frameworks like Selenium, JUnit
- Knowledge of monitoring technology and coding, developing efficiencies
- Knowledge or experience designing, building and maintaining automation test frameworks
- Experience with version control and continuous delivery systems would be advantageous, e.g. Git, TFS
- Relevant experience in information technology, business or computer science
