Today and tomorrow, we’ll make sure our customers are ready for the moments that matter. **Payroll Specialist and HR Admin (14 month Fixed Term Contract)** Your primary responsibility will be to work alongside our Finance team to manage the full end-to-end processing of our NZ monthly pay run and working collaboratively with our local advisors to complete the fortnightly pay run for our Manila employees. As a Payroll expert, you will be our local payroll expert and the ‘go to’ person for all NZ and Philippines pay-related queries. You will also support the local HR Manager with any office admin, employment related queries and/or people focused projects with the purpose to continuously improve the employee experience. This is a varied role that is not only responsible for ensuring our payroll is processed in a timely and accurate manner but involves a wide range of HR related activities and will be an integral part of a team that is the first point of call for all employee-related queries. **Are you ready to**: - Have full responsibility for the end-to end process of payroll for New Zealand and Philippines (monthly and fortnightly respectively) - Ensure compliance with employment legislation and regulations - Set and maintain employee records for the processing of new hires - Process leave entitlements - Calculate and process termination payments including Kiwisaver, leave entitlements and/or redundancy payments and employee income tax/withholding tax applicable. - Processing timesheets - Produce end-of-month reconciliation and payroll reporting - Ensure tax and government payments processed in timely manner - Ensuring employee-related data is accurate and maintained - Assisting in the delivery and coordination of People focused initiatives - Supporting the induction and onboarding processes for new staff - Improving the employee experience in process, policies, and people focused initiatives - Local office admin including (but not limited to) - Collating data for monthly and quarterly H&S reports - Managing office deliveries and supplies - Managing Telecoms relationship with provider - Contact and key liaison for suppliers and property manager - Processing purchase orders - Coordinating local social events and SWAG - Previous experience in running end-to-end payroll processes - Experience in interpretation of employment agreements - Experience in working payroll and HRIS systems such as Workday, Smartly, BambooHR, Jira, Workforce - Strong customer service orientation and a can-do attitude - Strong Microsoft Office, particularly excel, skills - Evidence of being people and experience focused - Previous experience working for a global company - Integration of HR and/or payroll systems - Previous generalist HR experience **CAE offers**: - central Ponsonby location - an environment where your initiatives will be recognized and valued. - the opportunity to work on a variety of projects on a multidisciplinary team. - flexible schedules, and hybrid work policy - attractive employee benefits including Southern Cross Healthcare and a generous flexible leave policy LI-KM1 **Position Type** Temporary (Fixed Term) CAE thanks all applicants for their interest.
