As the Payroll Specialist you are r esponsible for the accurate and timely end to end payroll process, including payment of salaries and wages and the maintenance of related records and entitlements in accordance with relevant legislation and internal company policies.

**How you will contribute**
- Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation and processing o f all New Zealand and expatriate salaried and waged payrolls in accordance with legislation and employment agreements
- Ensure that all employee master file data is entered and maintained in an accurate and timely manner
- Ensure the a ccurate and timely preparation and scheduling and of all payroll financial journals, payment of salaried and wages and statutory taxation, pension contributions and employee payroll disbursements
- Complete accurate and timely reconciliation of payroll accounts and entitlements to the general ledger
- Prepare and schedule payroll reporting and information in an accurate and timely manner
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal company controls
- Completion of month and year end processing and reconci liation of payrolls

- Solid (3 + years) experience in payroll with c omprehensive payroll knowledge across New Zealand
- Experience in a complex (preferably manufacturing ) payroll environment
- Sound financial and legal knowledge pertinent to local regulatory framework
- Being a good team player and influencing others
- Integrity and Trust
- Attention to detail

**Job specific requirements**:

- Strong Systems skills and working knowledge of CHRIS21
- Advanced Excel - Intermedia te to advance skill in Word
- Sound expe rience with interpretation of employment regulations within local regulatory framework and business policies
- Familiaris ation with all legislation and regulations pertinent to payroll

**Education / Certifications**:
Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Human Resources or related discipline
