**About the Role**
If you are an NZREX (or PLAB) doctor wishing to gain general registration though a Primary Care Pathway in the wider Wellington Region, we are accepting expressions of interest. The first six months of training will be at Wellington, Hutt or Wairarapa Hospitals in generalist attachments such as General Medicine, Respiratory, OPR, Cardiology, Mental Health or General Surgery, followed by primary care placements. The Primary Care placements will be across the Wellington region, covering the Wellington, Kapiti Coast, including Otaki, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa.
**About the Team/Service/ Location**
Health New Zealand Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley and Wairarapa districts are situated across the wider Wellington Region. With approximately 7,000 full-time equivalent employees, it is one of the largest employers in the region. Wellington Regional Hospital, Hutt Valley Hospital, and Kenepuru Hospital provide healthcare services to around 445,000 individuals. Additionally, the Kāpiti Health Centre is located in Paraparaumu.
**About you**
**Eligibility Criteria**
In order to be eligible for the Primary Care Prevocational Training Pathway towards General Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) applicants must:
- Have passed the NZREX exam in the last 5-years; or Part 1 & Part 2 of the PLAB test.
- Worked as a doctor for a minimum of 12 months
- ** Have New Zealand Residency or Citizenship and be currently residing in New Zealand.**:
- Be fully vaccinated.
- Hold a full NZ driver - s licence
**You will need to provide the following information**:
- An up-to-date CV
- A copy of your medical degree
- Three references
- A copy of your passport and visa/resident details
- Current police vetting results
- Full drivers licence
