**The Role**

As a Senior Analyst Pricing (Commercial) you will work alongside the Lead, Portfolio Pricing and Specialist, Pricing to provide in-depth analysis and research on pricing and analytics within the IAG business. You will be responsible for performing statistical analysis, making strategic pricing recommendations, supporting the development of other team members and contributing to the development of pricing methodologies and analyses which supports the business to achieve its objectives.

We currently have a permanent opportunity to join the team and this role can be based in either of our Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch offices.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Leading accurate and timely delivery of statistical pricing reviews, rate reviews and other pricing related statistical analysis.
- Contributing to the production of pricing insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Contributing to the relationship management of key stakeholders.
- Supporting the coaching and development of Pricing Analysts to develop their skills in key areas.

**Skills & Experience**
- Considerable experience in an insurance analytical role.
- Broad knowledge of general insurance.
- Working knowledge in statistical and data manipulation language(s) and visualisation software (for example, SQL, SAS, Python, R or Tableau).
- Advanced skills in analysis, statistical modelling and problem solving, verbal and written communication.
- High-intermediate skills in developing and coaching others, strategic thinking, drive for results, customer focus, developing and maintaining relationships and managing challenges.
- Tertiary qualification in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics or other quantitative discipline.
