We are looking for a Database Administrator for one of our clients in Auckland, New Zealand. Our client is a Global IT giant with a large presence all over the world.

**Essential Skills/ Experience Requirement**:

- Experience in migration of databases on different platforms.
- Experience in upgrading databases as per business requirement with mínimal outage.
- Experience in assessment and strategizing database migration and upgrade methodology.
- Experience in database consolidation and migration.
- Experience of working in collaboration with IT app architect and business stakeholder to drive design and implementation.
- Should have hands on experience in Oracle DBA in production environment in Oracle 11g - 19c, Performance tuning, OEM 13c.
- Experience of databases on engineering platform preferred like Exadata.
- Should have experience in performance tuning.
- Expertise in replication, DR and migration tools like ADG, Golden Gate, Always on, replica set.
- Expertise in Incident & Problem Managements.
- Experience in installation, configuration of MS SQL database, replication technology, Always on.
- Experience in sql and open source database specially on Mongo dB, PostgreSQL.
- Managed large and extra-large database for big organizations
- Experience and knowledge of Storage, Backup and Virtualization product for database design and implementation.
- Experience of different monitoring tools for database monitoring like OEM, HP DP, Nagios.
- Design and implementation of databases on different platforms.
- Migration of database on different platforms.
- Setting up migration tools and database migration planning.
- Manage and plan database upgrades.
- Setting up DR solution as per business requirement for databases.
- Configuration and tuning of database backup as per business requirement.
- Configuration and integration experience on monitoring solutions w.r.t database.
- Performance tuning for MS SQL databases, backup and restoration.
- Experience in managing MySQL, Mongo DB, PostgreSQL databases.
- Hands on experience in replication technology.
- Managing Cluster environment - Database/ASM & Grid Infrastructure Management.
- Backup and recovery configurations using RMAN & backup tools like Commvault.
- Hands on experience for Oracle database migration and tuning.
- Follow ITIL process as per client environment as part project life cycle.
- Keep clients informed at all times as to progress of assigned tasks and setting realistic expectations with regards to completion dates and status updates in a professional, concise and informative manner.
- Takes ownership of highly complex or critical incidents and problems and provides resolutions in a timely manner. Engages SMEs or vendors to provide assistance to resolve more complex incidents as required.
