Senior Contracts Manager - Electricity Maintenance
- Full-time
- Engagement type: Permanent - Employee
- Department: Operations and Maintenance

**About Us**
If you love working with a diverse group of people who are all about putting the customer at the centre and enabling choice, you’ve found the right company. The energy sector is transforming at a rate of knots, and we want you to join us and be part of this transformation. Vector is a proudly Aotearoa-owned company, which operates a range of innovative businesses delivering energy and communication services to more than one million homes and commercial customers across Australasia and the Pacific. These services include electricity and gas connections, solar solutions, high speed fibre, BBQ gas bottles, air and water purification and much more - all of which are transforming the energy sector in one way or another.

Because we live in a world that is changing fast, we must continue to identify and develop better solutions that will provide value, choice and service for our customers throughout New Zealand and beyond, so the environment and communities we love continue to thrive. To do this, Vector has a vision of creating a new energy future, which will help to deliver clean, reliable and affordable energy solutions for customers.

**About the role**
In this varied and busy role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient delivery of maintenance activities on Vector’s electricity networks in a safe, reliable, legally compliant and efficient manner, to agreed plans, budgets and quality metrics.

You’ll work closely with counterparts at our Field Service Providers to help navigate through any challenges encountered in the course of their maintenance activities, and also with our customers with enquiries pertaining to their own projects’ proximity to Vector assets.

A key component of the role will include site visits to ensure that work is being conducted in a safe manner that complies with Vector standards, as well as ensuring our capital projects are ready for handover to our maintenance partners.

Over the course of a year, you’ll work on hundreds of different jobs that may only last a day or two, or could last for weeks, so you can look forward to significant variety in the day-to-day, as well as the job satisfaction that comes with seeing the tangible results of Vector and our partners’ mahi in the community.

**Who we are looking for**
- You’ll have a background in the electrical industry, ideally in the capacity of a line mechanic or cable jointer. A Line Mechanic Distribution Level 4, or ESI Cable Jointing Level 3 (or above) qualification would be a bonus
- Contracts management experience is advantageous, with a track record of delivering contracts with successful relationship and commercial outcomes
- Your stakeholder management skills will be your strength, helping you build successful relationships with both our partners and customers
- You’ll be someone who thrives on being busy, juggling multiple short-term jobs and varying priorities.

**What we can offer you**
We love working together to create a new energy future. If you want to be part of an organisation with a real and tangible purpose, Vector could be the place for you.
We offer:

- A fun, flexible and stimulating work environment, full of interesting work being done by smart and innovative people
- Flexibility, including the choice of working from home a couple of days a week, and flexible start and finish times so you can balance work and life
- Health and wellbeing support
- Great benefits that reflect the importance of family

Vector engages a workforce made up of people and teams with diverse skills, values, backgrounds and experiences. We respect and value people who are different from each other, including gender, ethnicity, disability, age, sexual orientation, race and religion. We are proud of what we have achieved so far:

- First corporate Living Wage Accredited employer
- First Accessibility Tick employer
- Rainbow Tick accredited
- Winner of three gongs at the 2019 Diversity Awards NZ, including the Supreme Award in 2019 and 2020.
