**The Role**
We are looking for a dynamic, seasoned marketing professional, ideally within a mining background for a 14 month fixed-term contract to take ownership of the marketing for our mining segment for a 14 month fixed-term contract.

A Segment Marketing Manager is accountable for the marketing strategy and the execution of this plan in the mining industry -this spans the whole value chain of mining from Exploration right through to Production and closure. This position will work closely with the Segment Directors, Solution Directors, other Segment and Solution Marketing Managers, Product Owners and Managers and the rest of the marketing team to develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives and campaigns. This role will require a strong strategic marketer who can balance the marketing strategy to support growth of Seequent in industry as well as having a strong solution and product marketing focus.

As the Segment Marketing Manager, you are a primary advocate and the domain expert for your segment, and you ensure the voice of the customer and region is consistently front of mind in everything you do. You will be responsible for building go-to-market plans and taking new products to market.

**In this role, you will have the opportunity to**:

- Support Management and wider marketing team to execute and continuously iterate on an innovative and effective marketing strategy that is closely tied to the Segment commercial strategy.
- Drive initiatives which enable achievement of commercial targets. This will be achieved by partnering with internal stakeholder on release content, understanding key personas and development of commercial targets.
- Collaborate with Management, wider Marketing Team, and Product Managers to define and communicate clear value propositions to new and existing customers based on relevant product and solution positioning.
- Define each stage of the user journey and work to design an engaging experience which acquires and retains new and existing users.
- Understand customer feedback to validate or drive change in the Segment marketing strategy or the various user journeys.

**In order to be successful in this role, you should have**:

- A suitable tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, or any other business-related field
- Solid experience in a mid to senior level marketing position in a fast-paced and dynamic B2B business environment, experience in the mining industry is essential
- Strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across a variety of difference stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of successfully influencing senior stakeholders within a business
- A tenacious personality, be committed to quality and passionate about working as a team to deliver best possible outcomes.
