**This position reports to**:
Project Management Office Manager

**Your role and responsibilities**:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a design authority for an engineering discipline. Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. The work model for the role is: Onsite This role is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries Division of ABB, New Zealand. You will be mainly accountable for: - Coordinating engineering discipline across several projects. Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities - Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.) - Supporting Contract Managers in issuing claims (new/change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications etc.). Providing cost effective quality solutions as per customer requirement and delivers within budget and contract. - Interacting with customers, officials, contractors, and others. Attending project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments.

**Qualifications for the role**:

- You are highly skilled in automation engineering, Distributed Control System, knowledge of ABB’s solutions is an advantage.
- Ability to demonstrate your experience in systems engineering and leading the technical aspect of the project
- Possess knowledge of electrical and automation components in power or energy Industries
- You are passionate about working with a team, customer-focused way of working and commitment to solve technical problems.
- Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or another relevant course.
- You are at ease communicating in English, verbal and in writing.
- Current work rights holders in New Zealand are preferred but others can be considered as well.
