Since our inception in 2009 with the opening of our first Mitre 10 store in Warkworth, we have expanded to include five Mitre 10 MEGA stores: Albany, New Lynn, Warkworth, Whangaparaoa, and Silverdale. Our stores are not only known for their extensive product range but also for offering a one-of-a-kind shopping experience, including Columbus Coffee cafés. Additionally, we operate a Distribution Centre and own our own Frame and Truss Manufacturing Plant, ensuring end-to-end service for both retail and trade customers.

**About the role**

Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a dynamic leader to join our management team at Mitre 10 MEGA New Lynn. This is a permanent, on-site role that will require some weekend and late-night shifts. The most common rosters will be Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday.

As a Retail Leader responsible for the front-of-store operations (including _checkouts (_processesing cash, eftpos, account and credit card transactions including gift vouchers) and _customer services_ (refunds, exchanges, returns, faulty goods repair, special orders, click and collect and home delivery) you’ll ensure our team delivers outstanding service to Every Customer, Every Time. You'll lead and motivate the customer services and checkouts teams, ensuring smooth operations, maximizing efficiency. **What will you bring**
- 2+ years experience in a retail environment at a junior to mid-management level
- Proven team leadership experience with teams of 10+ members
- A hands-on approach to leadership
- Strong operational knowledge of supply chain processes
- High level of stock integrity awareness
- Decision-making ability in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent administrative and time management skills
- Flexibility to work one weekend day and accommodate our trading hours, which may include early starts and late finishes (non-peak store hours: 7 am to 7 pm)
- You would be a local West Auckland resident likely residing in the following areas: Avondale, Blockhouse Bay, Glen Eden, Green Bay, Kelston, Titirangi, New Windsor, Henderson, Massey, Te Atatū Peninsula, Te Atatū South, Glendene, Waterview, Sunnyvale, Oratia, Swanson, Ranui, Mount Roskill, Point Chevalier, Mount Albert, Western Springs, Kingsland, Westmere, Grey Lynn, Sandringham, Lynfield, Hillsborough, Three Kings, Epsom, Penrose, Onehunga, Royal Oak, Mount Eden, Ellerslie, Avondale Heights or Mangere Bridge.
