Modern Electrical Solutions Limited is specialized in providing various electrical services within Auckland Region.
- We are in urgent need of Electrical Trade Assistants who could assist the company with its vast growth of expertise works.
- As an electrical trade assistant, you will be required to assist in performing all electrical repairs, rewiring, replacements, and installation work for domestic, commercial, industrial, underground and overhead lines work as per required for various sites under the supervision of Registered Electrical Workers.
- This job may requires heavy lifting and hence physically fitness is very important.
- This is a full-time job with minimum of 30 hour per week from Monday to Friday between 7.30am - 7.30pm with all hours worked paid as per Nz Employment Laws.
- You will be paid between $28-00 to $32-00 per hour depending upon the experience and your availability for the work as per required by the company.
- As an electrical trade assistant, you will be required to perform various duties at various locations within Auckland Region.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Assist with 24/7 calouts as per required for various sites within Auckland Region;
- Assist with repair and replacement of stoves and water heaters;
- Assisting with overhead service lines work;
- Assist with installation of air conditioning and heat pumps;
- Assist with underground service lines work;
- Assist with height works;
- Assisting with installation of security alarm systems;
- Assist with testing and tagging of appliances and plug in items;
- Assist with powerlines sleeving works;
- Assist with installation, rewiring, maintenance and service of electrical works as per required for various sites;
- Assist with installation of communications and data;
- Provide accurate and on-time job records and other information to the office in line with company procedures;
- Assist in examination of plans and setting out reference points;
- Assist in assessment of problems and the repair or replacement of faulty electrical equipment or electrical wiring in accord with plans, manuals and correct practices;
- Assist in maintenance and servicing of electrical appliances such as rangehoods, ovens, hobs, fans, heat light fan units, towel rails and stoves;
- Assist in new build electrical installation;
- Keeping records of problems found with electrical equipments;
- Maintaining general oversight of safety and good practice on all work sites;
- Dealing professionally with customers in the course of carrying out these duties.

**Other Requirements**:
good communication skills, good attention to detail;
- A good knowledge of the tools, equipment and materials common to the role would be advantage but not necessary;
- A good knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations for this role would be an advantage but not necessary;
- To be flexible and willing to work as part of a team or unsupervised for normal casual work such as general work.

**In return, we will offer**:

- Wage rate of $28-00 to $32-00 per hour depending on the experience and what you can bring to the company;
- All company PPE, tools and safety equipment would be provided to carry out necessary works as per required;
- Location within Auckland Region;
- Hours of work with minimum 30 per week and additional overtime as per required with all overtime hours paid for any additional hours worked;
- Applicant for this position should be either New Zealand residents, citizens or must have a valid accredited work employer visa to work in New Zealand.
