We are a NZ Limited Company based in Auckland, NEW ZEALAND. We are currently working on a range of exciting projects across Auckland and outside Auckland and have a demand for 2 Electrical Assistants to join us. This is full time position to assist with variety of electrical works starting from smallest jobs to big commercial and industrial work. We pride ourselves on our workmanship and communication skills and require someone who can do the same. Must be reliable and have a good work and character reference.

Key Responsibilities:

- Wiring and Cabling
- Be able to read and assess plans and plan work as per plans.
- Assisting with maintenance of electrical equipment, and general assistance as required
- Measuring, positioning, and laying out equipment for installation
- Able to work at heights
- Replace Lights bulbs and light tubes
- Assembling and installing fixings i.e., cable trays, cable pulling and brackets
- Ordering and delivery of equipment and tools
- Ensuring all H&S protocol is followed closely
- Assisting and travelling with electrician(s) to perform work as where and when required
- Be honest, reliable and hard working
- Be physically fit and able to crawl in tight and narrow spaces above/under the house.
- Good work ethic
- Good English Communication skills
- Prepared to work weekends, public holidays and long hours as reasonably required according to the workload
- Able to work on rotational roster with early start and/or late finish according to the workload
- Clean Criminal history.
- Drug free and willing to undergo preliminary and occasional random drug test (This is a requirement for couple of our clients).
- Basic computer/technology knowledge with the ability to use trade-based phone app
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the team
- Honest and reliable in attendance - requires occasional early morning starts and late finish
- Must to able to travel outside Auckland along with the other trades persons and must be able to stay out of Auckland if and when required.

Experience or Qualification:

- Minimum 2-3 years experience. Must have NZ LIMITED LICENSE ( not Trainee Limited)
- As the role requires using work vehicle for travelling to multiple locations across Auckland Region according to client requirements, Full NZ Class 1 Drivers License with an ability to legally drive in NZ
- Must be able to and confident to drive manual vehicle.

Pay: $23.50 - $25 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
